Principles and Practice of Physical Rehabilitation

The book consists of three sections: section 1 dealing with the clinical decision making, ethics and assessment strategies, section 2 incorporating intervention strategies and Section 3 including management strategies. Each Chapter of the book is outlined based on the international classification of functioning, disability and health, thus aiding the students understand the concepts of each topic better. The book gives a comprehensive explanation of each pathology included in the book, encompassing the pathophysiology, clinical presentation and assessment and intervention strategies for the rehabilitation. Evidence-based practice forms a vital component of the rehabilitation process in the present times and the focus of the book has been on the incorporation of such practice in the content of the book. Along with this, each Chapter in the management section has case assignments included, to stimulate the students thinking to gain a clearer understanding of the Assessment process and to test the clinical knowledge gained by them after the reading of the Chapter the case assignments are presented in a comprehensible format. Each Chapter is entailed with review questions that have been formed after a thorough evaluation of the previously asked questions in the examinations of several universities of India.
